My hubby and I decided to have a belated birthday treat for our extended family at 7 Flavors Buffet Restaurant in San Juan a little over a week ago. None of us have eaten there so we figured it was a good time to try.
7 Flavors Buffet Restaurant is located along A. Mabini St. in San Juan (somewhat near corner Wilson St.). We've passed by this place many times in the past but have never gotten around to trying it until now. There's ample parking space, which is good.
7 Flavors Buffet Restaurant has two floors, we stayed on the second floor. There's actually a stage on the first floor and sometimes they have performers there.
The buffet spread is average. Since it was a Sunday night, it cost P600 per person. To be honest, I was expecting more based on the rave reviews I read from other blogs. It was kind of disappointing but since we were all already there we took our seats and proceeded to go get food.
There are about a dozen short order dishes which are mostly Filipino.
This sums up the sushi selection.
There's only one type of pizza, but I actually liked it -- nice crisp and thin crust, tuna, cheese, olives, and bell peppers.
Our unanimous favorite was the Taco Station. We all loved the crisp flaky shell. You can fill your taco with either ground pork or ground beef, shredded lettuce, fresh salsa, and cheese.

This section of the buffet features dimsum and fried food.
There were 4 types of Dimsum that evening: Sweet Siopao, Sharksfin Siomai, Chicken Feet, and Tausi Spare Ribs.

There was Roast Beef at the Carving Station but it didn't look particularly appetizing so I didn't get any.
There were very few desserts... maybe 4 kinds of pastries and this makeshift Halo-Halo Station. There's an ice scream scooping station near the dimsum area.

I forgot what this flaky puff pastry is, but it was okay.
Don't get me wrong, the food wasn't bad but I felt P600 was too much for such a small spread. The salads are of the fast food variety -- macaroni salad with lots of mayo, DIY salad with a few veggies and 3 types of dressing... nothing special. There are maybe a dozen short order dishes aside from the carving station, dimsum, and fried food section. For dessert there are around 4 kinds of pastries, DIY Halo-Halo, and Big Scoop ice cream. There's free-flowing iced tea too which they refill very promptly. Still, I feel Chef Laudico Guevarra's Eat All You Can gives you better value for money (they have the exact same rates as 7 Flavors).
7 Flavors Buffet Rates:
- Mon - Thurs: P400 (Lunch) / P500 (Dinner)
- Fri - Sat - Sun - Holidays: P600 (Lunch and Dinner)
- Depending on the height, children can get 20% discount.
If you want to try 7 Flavors, I recommend eating there from during weekday lunch so it's P400 per head, which we feel is fair for what you'll be getting.
